That is the question…and the answer today is to share the journey but not the painting, yet. I began a triptych last weekend and I felt like I had a solid start on it. The middle and right panel seemed to be working well, and I was trying to figure out the left panel which kept giving me problems no matter what I did.

People talk about size and scale in art and sometimes use these terms interchangeably when they are actually a little different. I think of size as the actually physical size of something, and scale as the size relationship between things.
